Background to the scheme

Northgate Homes plans to regenerate and transform the former Printworks site in Carleton Road, Camden into a residential-led mixed use development which will also provide a range of community and commercial properties, including some much-needed sports facilities.

Working with our architects and planning consultants, we have drawn up a basic masterplan which forms the basis of our discussion with local people.

The proposals

The masterplan for Oak Grove comprises:

  • Approximately 200 residential units
  • 2 acres of commercial space
  • 2 acres of sports facilities
  • 4 acres of public open space
  • Access roads
  • Pedestrian and cycle routes across the site


Sustainability is at the heart of this scheme. PNP Architects will incorporate environmental features at the very earliest stage of the design process, meaning efficient use of energy and reduced carbon emissions.

It is intended that this will be a BREEAM rated scheme, meaning that it will meet extremely high sustainability standards.
